A VERY FALL - AESTHETIC TBR WHEN IT'S PRETTY MUCH STILL BLOODY SUMMER OUTSIDE

Monday, September 10, 2018

I am so done with this Summer, I want my cold weather back. Wind, rain, thunders, snow, all the jazz.

And while I keep pretending fall is coming by watching fashion haul after fashion haul (like, seriously, Autumn is THE BEST SEASON EVER!!!) I also try to get back into the swing of things aka my TBR.

My TBR is constantly changing. I bought books back in July and never got around to reading them and that is because I feel like I need to be in the right place for specific books.
For example, there was no chance I would have started reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine while I was recovering from surgery but now I'm in a completely different state of mind so I gave it a go.
But there are books that just scream Autumn so I'm here waiting for the weather to change and finally dive into those.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS
by Emily Bronte
First book on the list and I'm already cheating.
I've already read this books - which is one of my favourite classics - but I feel like there is nothing like an aesthetically pleasing imaginary walk in the moors while it's foggy and maybe even raining, am I right?
My love for Heathcliff is no secret to anyone so it's a matter of time really that I go back to the most frustrating love story of all times.

THE SECRET HISTORY
by Donna Tartt
This book has been sitting on my desk, unread, for literally months!
You know my love for college settings, especially when it's kind of a spooky/mystery/thrillery (is that even a word?! Jeez!) one, I can't wait to dive straight into this one! I've heard people raving about it and Tartt's writing style - Polly Florence aka the Queen of Fall Aesthetics talks about it like it's the best thing in the world! - so I picked it up, did a well-deserved photoshoot to that stunning all-black cover and put it on my TBR waiting for colder months.

BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS
by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Just give me some witchy books and I'll be happy ever after. You know what I miss these days? A great, old-fashioned book about witches. Salem anyone? I looooved those stories and now I feel like it's missing something in the literary universe. Where are my witches at?
Anyway, I've read the first book earlier this Summer and absolutely loved it! I completely fell in love with Ethan's POV and really felt like I was inside the story and I wanted to keep on reading like there was no tomorrow! I'm so glad I have a whole series to binge!
But seriously though, if you have recommendations for witchy books, then send them all my way!

YOUR TURN! WHAT ARE YOUR READING PLANS THIS FALL?
